ICOMOS (the International Council on Monuments and Sites) 21st Symposium

ICOMOS (the International Council on Monuments and Sites) is a global organization of cultural heritage professionals with its headquarters in Paris, which serves as the main cultural heritage advisory body for the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. ICOMOS has more than 9.500 members and more than 110 National Committees worldwide. ICOMOS works for the conservation and protection of cultural heritage places. It is the only global non-governmental organization of its kind, dedicated to promoting the application of scientific theories, methodologies and techniques for the conservation of architectural and archaeological heritage. The ICOMOS expert network benefits from the interdisciplinary exchange of its members, including architects, historians, archaeologists, art historians, geographers, anthropologists, engineers and urban planners. ICOMOS members contribute to improving heritage conservation, standards and techniques for each type of cultural heritage property: buildings, historic cities, cultural landscapes, and archaeological sites. In 2023, ICOMOS will hold the 21st Symposium which will be held in Sydney, Australia on 31 August – 9 September 2023. Unsrat Architecture Study Program is ready to participate in the symposium. Cynthia E. V Wuisang, ST, M.Urb.Hab.Mgt., Ph.D is a lecturer in Architecture Study Program – Unsrat who will participate as a presenter at the symposium.
