Counseling guidance

Academic guidance

Academic Advisory Lecturers (PA) are appointed through the Dean's Decree with the task of protecting and assisting students in academic life while on campus and monitoring their academic achievements until the student completes his studies. Academic guidance is carried out by PA Lecturers at least three scheduled meetings in each semester, namely:

  • At the beginning of the semester to determine the student's study plan.
  • In the middle of the semester to evaluate student achievement and mid-semester results
  • At the end of the semester to evaluate the student's semester study results

In solving certain problems related to the study of guidance students, PA Lecturers can coordinate with other Lecturers, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Departments and Faculties. The academic guidance process is guided by the Academic Guidance Guide document and carried out based on the SOP set by the Study Program.

Non-academic guidance

At the Faculty level, non-academic guidance is carried out by the student affairs department under the coordination of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, while at the University level it is carried out under the coordination of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Counseling guidance services are also available at LP3 Unsrat through the Guidance and Counseling Center which is directed to serve students who experience mental-emotional problems or other personal problems that can have an impact on the smoothness of their studies.

The results of academic and non-academic mentoring activities have a positive impact, which can be seen from the following indicators:

  • Percentage of dropouts for batch 2010 and 2011 (TS-8 and TS-7) = 0%
  • The average graduate GPA = 3,35 (TS-1) which is still above the average graduate GPA standard set by Unsrat which is 3,10.
