SAs a state university located in the eastern part of Indonesia, Sam Ratulangi University continues to take the initiative, making innovations to advance the world of national higher education, especially in the eastern part of the archipelago.

which is translated into the acronym IMANKU, Sam Ratulangi University continues to be committed to advancing science and the quality of people's lives, from the lips of the Pacific.

Therefore, Sam Ratulangi University continuously strives to improve the quality of the tridharma of sustainable higher education, develop science and technology innovation and cultural arts that are oriented towards the Pacific region, increase access and the role of universities which in turn will have an impact on improving the standard of living and quality of life of the community. , and improve the quality and quality of education governance

Efforts to realize the vision and mission continue to be persistent and sustainable. From year to year, the improvement in the quality of Sam Ratulangi University both in terms of academics and higher education governance can be seen from:

  • A accreditation for the institution, achieved in 2017
  • Achieved WTP predicate in 2 consecutive years.
  • The ranking of Sam Ratulangi University continues to increase according to Webometrics, where this year Sam Ratulangi University has been ranked 25th.

Therefore, it is not surprising that in 2020, Sam Ratulangi University, together with 13 other state universities, were chosen to be role models in the implementation of the Integrity Zone in the world of higher education.

On the internal side of Sam Ratulangi University, from the 11 existing faculties, the Faculty of Engineering was chosen, as the first step in implementing the Integrity Zone at Sam Ratulangi University, in accordance with the Rector's Decree number 651/UN12/LL/2020, dated 19 May 2020.

The selection of the Faculty of Engineering is not without good reason. With the vision of "Towards an International Class Engineering Faculty, Local Character", the Engineering Faculty which currently has 7 study programs of which 3 are accredited A, continues to support the achievement of the noble ideals of Sam Ratulangi University.

To support the realization of a Corruption-Free Region and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Region, the Faculty of Engineering has long implemented strict monitoring of every business process that takes place in it.

Responding to the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, these processes have been integrated with the support of Information Technology, both owned by Sam Ratulangi University, and systems developed internally by the team at the faculty level.

One example of a system developed at the faculty level is the QR Code-based attendance system, where student attendance records and lectures are carried out in real time, so that faculty leaders can directly monitor the ongoing academic process.

At the university level, on May 2, 2020, in conjunction with the commemoration of National Education Day, Sam Ratulangi University launched the INSPIRE Portal. This INSPIRE portal is a substitute for the academic portal that has been used for approximately 10 years, with the addition of features in the form of digital attendance inspired by the QR Code absence at the Faculty of Engineering, communication features between lecturers-students-parents, where the contents of the communication will be recorded. on the system, other features that integrate various business processes at Sam Ratulangi University.
