    IPB University has determined that the policy of conducting lectures in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year will be carried out online, because it is still in a condition of the Covid-19 pandemic which cannot be ascertained when it will end.

    IPB University's Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr Drajat Martianto, stated this in a written statement to Bogor City, Friday.

    According to Drajat Martianto, the policy for conducting online lectures was determined by the leadership of IPB University by taking into account a number of rules, namely the Circular Letter of the Minister of Education & Culture (SK Mendikbud) RI regarding Online Learning and Working from Home in the context of Preventing the Spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). ).

    Drajat stated that academic activities for undergraduate events during the pandemic & transition to the new normal, first, third, & fifth semester lectures will be conducted online. "Lectures and practicums for vocational, master and doctoral programs are also carried out online," he said.

    Meanwhile, for professional education programs for veterinarians, dietitians and engineer professions, according to him, lectures can be conducted face-to-face, starting August 31, 2020, by following the COVID-19 prevention health protocol set by the Crisis Center Team of IPB University.

    Drajat revealed that in certain undergraduate study programs, the seventh semester lectures were conducted online until the end of the midterm exam (UTS). Then, after the UTS can be done face-to-face with priority activities in the form of practicum, laboratory research, or fostering certain skills in sync with the learning objectives according to the curriculum of each study program.

    For postgraduate or master study programs, the term is him, especially the second and third semesters or after, and the fourth and fifth semesters or thereafter, then those who are still taking lectures in the doctoral program that require face-to-face meetings for practicum activities/skills improvement, after UTS ends, they can do it using the provisions following the COVID-19 prevention health protocol.

    Meanwhile, student activities during the transfer of the even-odd semesters of the 2019/2021 academic year and the odd semesters of the 2020/2021 academic year, for multi-level program students, various student activities can be carried out online by utilizing creative media, namely information technology. "The new student introduction period will be held online," he said.
